Cut into shapes using cookie or biscuit cuttersOr
Taking about ½ the dough, divide by teaspoon, and roll into small balls on the floured surface. Flatten to ¼ inch thick disks. - Place shaped biscuits on ungreased cookie sheet, and bake for 30 minutes @ 325°, rotating the cookie sheet after 15 minutes.
- Remove the biscuits from the oven and immediately place the biscuits on a rack to cool. The biscuits may stick if allow to cool on the sheet.
- Once all the biscuits are baked, turn off the oven and place all the baked biscuits on the rack(s) back in the oven. Remove the biscuits after the oven has cooled.
Add an additional egg and up to an additional ¼ cup water or stock and prepare as directed to make a soft, wetter dough.
For “Pill Poppers”: Make taking pills easy for your dog. Scoop, drop, or roll prepared dough into balls or mounds about ¾” across. Use a skewer, chopstick or dowel to make a hole in the top of the wet cookie, larger than pill. Bake and cool per basic instructions.
To use, place the pill in the top of the biscuit. Seal the hole with peanut butter, liverwurst, velveeta, etc., and feed to your dog.
